I finally gave up on reading Possession. I know it’s won awards and it shows up on almost every “Books You Should Read” list, but I couldn’t get into it. It was dry and I felt like I was slogging through it; after a dozen attempts and only making a few chapters’ headway, it was time to stop trying.
In its place is The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I’m enjoying it so far. I can’t say I’m in love with it, but it is at least intriguing and I did read 100 pages in one sitting while watching an Income Property marathon, so that counts for something, right?
