WPA poster + Skyrim = awesome

I kind of feel this way.

I beat Portal 2 earlier today. It was fun and challenging until the end. I’m not going to spoil it, but I thought the ending (specifically the final portal you shoot) was a bit of a strange letdown. The ending song, Want You Gone, was catchy, but I like Still Alive better.

I tried co-op mode with a random player and was able to get through about two and a half test chambers before stopping. I felt kind of bad because the other player had already played the first two levels three times and knew exactly what to do. At times he had to wait on me while I was trying to get my bearings. You don’t have to play the chapters in order, so I’m not sure why he wanted to start with the first one when we could have skipped to the third. It’s not like it would have made much of a difference to me. Oh well. It was nice of him to let me play them in order, even if it was done inadvertently. I’m going to try and finish the rest of the chapters whenever I can commandeer Will’s computer again. My computer still won’t run the game.

Dear Portal 2,

Why won’t you work on my computer? I even cleared out some lovely space for you, spruced up the hard drive a bit. There was no space, but I made some for you. Just for you. That’s how special you are. Instead, you’ve rebuffed my advances, responding with a simple yet devastating, “portal2.exe has stopped working.” I can’t even see the Valve logo like other people. Am I that horrendous?!

I actually have played some of it, but only after loading it on Will’s computer. Works perfectly fine on his. I made it to Chapter 7 in about 5 hours. Absolutely love the gels. The story’s really getting good at this point so I’m jonesing to solve the rest.

Will’s family’s Christmas tradition is for each person to decorate a paper bag with cut up Christmas cards. The paper bags are used in place of stockings. Since we each decorate our own, each bag varies from year to year, person to person. This year my bag was Minecraft inspired. :)
