I’ve wanted to learn how to write Arabic for a long time, but only because I love the look of Arabic calligraphy. However, I’m not sure that it’s a good enough reason or motivation.

Is it weird that I’ve always had a thing for old glass? I love the enameling on this piece. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.

This guy was enormous. Even if he weren’t up on a pedestal, he would still easily tower over me. He and his brother (at the far end of the hall) used to guard the entrance of a temple. If I were visiting that temple, I might be a little wary when entering….
